Party Descriptions and Connections
 
With the abdication of King David III and the collapse of the old political system, the National Committee on Reconciliation (NCR) was given the opportunity to choose a new political system for the country. The NCR chose a parliamentary political system based upon proportional representation. Currently, there are ten (10) parties in the republic of Ruritania. These parties reflect Ruritanian history, contemporary economic development and the broad social divisions which have existed or developed over the past several centuries.
