Art and Culture: The Christian Democrats want to preserve the art the art that defines our culture. It is our belief that people should be able to see the great art of our culture. We want to make art accessible to anyone that wants to see it. We want to preserve the traditional values that are cherished by our people. We do not want to see our ways of life thrown away. We will fight to maintain the ways of life that we have enjoyed for so long.
Education(20,000): The Christian Democrats want to make sure that all people have that opportunity to receive a good education no matter what. We want return to a system where education is subsidized by the government. A system where a quality education does not drain a families monetary resources. Students that are willing to strive for knowledge should be rewarded not punished. It is our goal to educate all Ruritanians not just the wealthy ones.We know that education will affect every aspect of Ruritanian life. It will shape how our neighbors to the East and West think of us. We will be there to make sure that the educational needs of our people are met. We are committed to the education system.
Environment(20,000):I agree with
the peasants party that we should definitely become more aware and active in
conserving our environment. "What God has made no man can destroy."
We Ruritanians should follow this statement, not only
for the good of the earth but also for the good of the farmers. Small farmers
are a necessity in obtaining our Ruritanian culture.
Although there is an argument that more industrilization
will produce more jobs; it will also eliminate many and cause many families to
suffer. Industrialization will destroy small farmers whose whole life and
income depends upon their land and small farms. What about all those people who
will have their farms forcelosed because of
businesses being built?? We Christian Democrats will enforce and allocate land
for national parks and farms. We will also, via a Clean Air Act Committee and
hopeful legislation, put strict regulations on the amounts of industrial
pollution. We will greatly aide in the cleaning up of the pipeline disaster and
will also donate money to the area for the rebuilding of the environment where
it was destroyed. In urban areas we also would like to incorporate as many
parks as possible. We are willing to spend as much money as needed to enforce a
healthy environment and to save our farmers. We want to promote your interests
to conserve what God has created! Vote Christian Democratic next election!
Energy(10,000): The Christian Democrats believe that education is among the most important priorities in RUR. Education is invaluable in preserving our great nation. It is through education that the people of this nation or any nation become truly strong. In light of this we take our stand on the education issue: We believe that the government should be responsible for funding the educational needs of the people. People should not be burdened by the rising costs of education. We will fight for your RIGHT to education. We do not feel that people should be punished for wanting to better themselves. Much of our stands on energy fit right into our environmental policies. We will enact the 10, 000 program. We want the usage and retrieving of fossil fuels to be done in an environmentally sound way. We want to preserve the land and our natural resources. We are dedicated to finding new sources of energy that are environmentally friendly. It is our hope to create better air and water quality in Ruritania, via clean air legislation. We want to create a place where people can be proud to call it home.
Entrepreneurial(16,000): It is our goal to create equal opportunity for the small farmers and small business people that need our help to succeed. We want to see that the common people get the help they need. We are there to see that the common man has someone in their corner. Large corporations are trying to take over the small farmers only source of income. We are here to see that it does not happen. We will fight for the rights of the common working class family. You can trust in the Christian Democratic Party to be there for you.
Health Care(22,000):
The Christian Democrats support the
Housing(25,000): This is our policy that all Ruritanin families have a house to live in. We are not talking about a run down shack. We want out people to be able to enjoy the comforts of life without having to worry about large bills they cannot pay. We will form committees to direct the planning of houses for those that cannot afford standard ones. We will make it affordable to live comfortable. We want to support state support for rural housing and state direct subsidies to those unable to buy houses. Also via indirect subsidies we will start the development of housing and development units.
Law and Order(40,000): As Martin Luther King said, "I say to you my friends, so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. With faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood. With this faith we will be able to work together, pray together, struggle together, go to jail together, stand up for freedom together."
We would like to preserve the safety of our country, so therefore support the 40,000 program. We want to enforce safety in a peaceful and Christian manner. We believe in upholding the law but incorporating church beliefs into the law. Therefore, for example, we would not support the death penalty. We believe law will be carried out non-violently and follow Christian beliefs. Consequently, social order will follow.
Rights: We believe in the rights of all Ruritanians in including ethnic Swedes, and that there should be a bill of rights added to the new constitution. A bill of rights that will allow the citizens to take part in governmental affairs and have actual citizen responsibilities. We believe that Ruritanian citizens should have freedom of religion and encourage worship in the RNC. We believe in the old system of free schooling as opposed to having to pay for your education. We will work to uphold the values and the rights of the common man. People should have the right to free speech no mater what the message. Let them be heard and then decide weather or not to believe them. People should have the right to participate in government. We will listen to the people. The common people are the legs on which government stands, and that position demands respect. Therefore, we will listen to your views and act on them.
Taxes: In order to make available to the people all that we promise we need to generate the necessary funds. We are in favor of a progressive income tax, wealthy surcharge, and corporate tax. The reason that we favor these forms of tax is that it breaks down the amount of taxes to what people can afford. We will use a corporate tax of 25% and a 10% charge on the wealthy and a business tax of 2%. This will give us the funds to help all Ruritanins.
Religion: We at the Christian Democrat Part are in the full support of the RNC. We want to maintain the full authority of the RNC and stand behind its values.
