The mission statement of the NSF:
The National Salvation Front is dedicated to every Rurutanian enjoying universal wealth and happiness, everyone deserves the right to a chance at this goal. The NSF seeks to regenerate the social, economic, and cultural life of a Ruritania by basing it on a heightened sense of national belonging and ethnic identity. The people feel cheated, and wonder whether they can trust politicians, after all the broken promises. That is why the NSF have decided not to promise what we cannot deliver, and to deliver what we promise. At the end of this manifesto we have six pledges. We have set forth these proposals for all the important areas of government that affect their lives: the economy, education, health, housing, land, the environment, crime, jobs, etc. No Opposition has ever been so specific, no future government has ever been more concerned with consulting the people directly and getting their input for future policies and programs. We do not claim to have all the answers, but we do have the will to work together with the people to be part of the solution to the many problems that trouble our nation today: How to get the economic train moving again and end the divisions that plague us as a nation; how to improve our fragile environment while enhancing the quality of life of our people; how to create safe and caring communities and families; how to give our young people, who have been abandoned by the government, the opportunity to lead creative, hopeful and productive lives. Together we can do it; together we can make Ruritania better. I invite you to join us in the new NSF vision of national renewal, a vision of a country that is on the move, with drive, purpose and energy dedicated to growing in prosperity into the next millennium, a nation under God, with justice and opportunity for all.
(1) CAPITAL FORMATION
We will encourage financial institutions to expand and diversify the range of securities and guarantee instruments available in Ruritania to assist established and new business ventures. This will possible by the reduced taxes and the benefits to those who assists the government and the ventures the government invests in. To those who repeatedly have good credit with the government will recieve tax breaks and benefits, to those on the other side of the fence will recieve the opposite.
(2) SMALL FARMERS AND BUSINESS BANK
We will establish the Small Farmers and Small Business Bank, which will provide credit to women, young entrepreneurs, farmers and small businesspersons free of the burdens of conventional collateral.
(3) A STRONG DOLLAR
The NSF pledges the Ruritanian dollar to the US dollar, which has ensured exchange rate stability. We are committed to maintaining this stability with the fixed rate between the Ruritania and US dollar. Tight public spending will be the main consideration of our fiscal policy, while we restructure Ruritanian Soft money and campaing financing, in order to eliminate reckless borrowing.
(4) MODERNIZING RURITANIA'S INDUSTRIES
The time has come for us to make a concerted and planned drive to expand our industrial production in traditional and new industries.
We will:
Establish an Industrial Development Board with participation of the public and private sectors to analyze and propose policies and initiatives for industrial development that is responsible and that takes into account balanced regional development and that ensures that Ruritanians benefit.
Dramatically reduce energy costs for our traditional and major productive industries, restructure their debt and make available long term credit at concessionary rates through guarantee agencies.
Give high priority to negotiations with competent exploration companies to ensure that the necessary resources and modern technologies are applied to discovering our oil reserves. If oil is there, we will find it and put it to work for the benefit of all Ruritanias.
(5) DEVELOPMENT FOR PEOPLE
The NSF believes that development only occurs when people, especially the poor and disadvantaged, benefit from economic growth. Our low tax, job-creating policies will enhance our society’s ability to produce and provide a higher standard of living for our people. The NSF will set free the creative and enterprising spirit of our nation. We will provide everyone with the opportunity to work and to have a dignified life in the new Ruritania.
(6) THE EDUCATION REVOLUTION
The education of Ruritania has turned out to be expensive education: not only in the huge amounts of money parents must spend on fees, books and other charges, but also must send their children out of the country to complete their higher learning. It came as no surprise, therefore, that our children then pursue careers else where. Regardless of the situation our number one concern is keeping our brains in Ruritania. The NSF will honour the cry of our children. We will involve the educational community in developing a new and rational educational policy based on the following principles:
1. Education is a basic human right and so education to the highest level of each person’s ability must be guaranteed for all, including those who were denied the opportunity to finish primary or secondary school.
2. Education must allow our people to develop values for healthy living, fostering self-esteem and a sense of social responsibility. Schools must prepare people for living productively in society; study and work must be creatively linked through programs such as interships and apprenticeships
