Hi! My name is Joseph Apel, but everyone calls me Joey. I am from Pittsburgh, PA, but now live in the VWK suites at UD. I am currently studying Criminal Justice. At home, my parents are divorced, but I see both of them a lot. My mother, Lillian, is remarried to my step dad Rich. My father, Bruce, is remarried to my step mom Jackie. I also have a Sister Samanthta (21years old), and two stepbrothers: Brent (25) and Tyler (20). I am very close with all of my family.

I am interested in sports, especially football, listening to music (love country), and I like having a good time with my friends. At Dayton, I play intramural flag football and softball, a brother in the Pi Kappa Alpha (Pikes) fraternity, and I am on the high Dean's list. During high school I played football and was a honor roll student. In football I was team captain and an all-county player, while also being placed on the all state ballot. After UD, I intend to obtain my master's degree in Criminal Justice to fulfill my goal of getting into a government policing agency.
