The Seasons of My Life

My Spring
– Born in Dayton OH. Moved to Xenia when I was 5. Raised on a small farm south of Xenia by the greatest and most loving parents, Maurice and Mary Ellen Peters with seven brothers and four sisters. In addition to my warm and nurturing family, I was educated at St. Brigid's in Xenia for Grades 1-8 and at Warner Junior High and Xenia High School for Grades 9-12. I continued my education at the University of Dayton, earning a B.S. in Elementary Education. These experiences were seeds planted, nurtured, and fertilized. The strong roots grew, and I began to bloom.|

My Summer
– As a budding professional, I married John, worked as a substitute teacher in Dayton City Schools, and began raising a family--Doug, Steve, and Rebecca and a variety of pets. These practical experiences provided many opportunities for personal and professional growth and strengthened me as an individual. I earned an M.S. in Education at UD and completed classes for Media Certification at WSU. The pleasant experiences were the sun, and the thorny experiences were the rain that provided the opportunity for me to blossom.|

My Autumn – My colors are beginning to change. I reflect the beauty of time and life, the product of many diverse experiences from my changing roles and rich encounters with all the people who have touched my life. I have been very blessed, and sharing those gifts with others will be important during this season.

My Winter
– This is the future. My past and present choices will influence how well I weather this season, but it is ultimately in God's hands.|
