The Old Frontier Thumbers Conference and the Ohio Fast Draw Association are two different organizations supporting a slightly different approach to fast draw. The O.F.T.C. restricts its methods to thumbing, as the name implies, where you draw and fire your gun using only one hand. The O.F.D.A. is more open and includes two handed fanning in its drawing methods. Most contest dates include one day of O.F.T.C. competition and one day of O.F.D.A. competition. Both organizations have their own constitution, group of officers and annual meeting. You may join one organization or the other, or as most shooters, you may join both organizations in order to shoot both days of the contest.
