Biographical Information

A beautiful bouncing baby girl (as all babies are beautiful and bouncing) was delivered on May 10, 1954 to Mack and Charlotte Dobkowski at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. The only child of this loving Polish couple, I was showered with love and affection during the eighteen years I lived in the suburbs of Cleveland. First educational institutions included St. Monica's Elementary School and Byzantine Catholic High School. I found my way to the University of Dayton in August of 1972 to study Home Economics. Realizing I could not cook or sew, I quickly changed my major to Elementary Education. Graduation from UD for the first time occurred in December 1975. I began my first teaching job two weeks after graduation at Dayton Catholic Elementary School. Fortunately, while a junior I met my husband, Dick Ferguson. We were married in August of 1976. Since that time our family has grown to include three sons, Mark born in 1979, David born in 1983 and A.J. born in 1989. In between the births of our three sons I completed my Master's Degree at the University of Dayton in School Psychology in 1982. School psychology positions include work in Brookville, West Carrolton, Xenia, Yellow Springs, and Darke County. My employment at the University of Dayton began in January 1990. The ride continues...
