On Friday, Oct. 10 2008, at the Hershey, PA Country Club, former UD student Peter Cajka won the Richard P. Scharchburg Student Paper Award sponsored by the Society of Automotive Historians (SAH). He received a plaque and $500 for his essay "Consumers, Cadillacs and Civil Rights: The Social and Cultural Impact of the Automobile in Ebony, 1945-1965."
