GENERAL COMMENTS

1.  Papers are due on the day assigned.  Late papers will be downgraded one letter grade for each class day late.

2.  Papers written in class (impromptus) will be evaluated on a 100-point scale; papers written outside of class on a 200-point scale. Paragraphs will be evaluated on a 50-point scale.

3.  Reading quizzes will accrue to a total equal in value to an impromptu paper, i.e., 100 points.  There are NO make-up's for reading quizzes.

4.  This course follows the ATTENDANCE POLICY of the University.  (See the back of the English Department Syllabus and your Student Handbook for details.)  Regular attendance is expected, and students are responsible for work and assignments missed as a result of absences from class.

5.  Plagiarism of any kind will not be tolerated in this course.
