    gem Meetings

June meeting will be held June 9, 2009 at 7:00 PM at the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery. Presentation: Bringing you the best of the Internet.

News: DGMS garage sale June 6 in Boonshoft neighbor, 8 - ? Thank you to the Vidonis and to Pat Westby for helping to arrange this fund-raising event.
Spot: 3839 Hillmont. From Pat: Three other houses on that street are participating so we should get good traffic flow. If you go north on Ridge (behind Boonshoft museum), you will want to cross Siebenthaler. Then where Ridge curves off to the right, keep going straight. Hillmont is the last left before the road you are on makes a turn to the right. You are better off to MapQuest or Google map the address.
If you have anything you would like to sell and keep a portion of the proceeds for yourself, you need to have it well marked and preferable be present at the sale to help to help sell. If you have anything you want to outright donate (rocks gems minerals, household items - no clothes please), you can drop them off at Pat Westby's or bring them the morning of the sale. If anyone has a table or two it would be appreciated.

News: with the closing of Riverbend Art Center, the DGMS has had to find a new meeting place. The Dayton Gem & Mineral Society Meeting begins at 7:00 PM (new time!) at the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery. Address: 2600 Deweese Parkway, Dayton Ohio. phone 937-275-7431. Someone will be at the main door to direct you the meeting room.

    Visitors and new members welcome!
