Lloyd L. Laubach
joined the University of Dayton faculty in January 1980. He served as Chair
of the Department of Health and Sport Science from July 1st 1994
to July 31st 2004. Laubach holds the faculty academic rank of
Associate Professor and teaches in both the undergraduate and graduate
programs in Health and Sport Science as well as serving as the Director of
the Faculty/Staff Wellness Program. He has published approximately 40
scientific papers and/or technical reports in the areas of muscle strength,
range of joint motion, body composition, and exercise prescription; has
served as a consultant to the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine,
Brooks AFB, TX and also to NASA,
John F. Kennedy Space
Center, FL. Laubach is a fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine
and for the period of 1978 to 1984 he served as a sports medicine consultant
to the USA Men's Volleyball Team. He is a member of the Dayton Athletic
Association Running Hall of Fame and is an avid runner and hiker; has served
as race director of the Dayton River Corridor Half-Marathon and was also the
first race director of the Lou Cox Memorial 5K Race, the largest of its kind
in Ohio. Laubach received his B.S. from the
University of
Central Oklahoma,
Edmond, OK, Master's degree from the University of Oregon, Eugene, OR and
his Ph.D. from The Ohio State University,
Columbus, OH. |
