Thank you for checking out the campaign website.  The presidential primary election finished up on Friday, here were the results:

Patrick O'Grady & Brendan O'Grady - 987

John Gravier & Clare Zlatic - 651

Drew Navolio & Bridget McIlwee - 521

Curry Helton & Rob Williams - 319

Michael McDermott & Joshua Rauch - 184

Thank you to everyone who supported us, we were really blown away by the response. Also thanks to all the other campaigns for their sportsmanship throughout this entire experience. So what happens next? The top two tickets (Gravier/Zlatic and us) will be on the ballot for the primary election -

Now let's move on to what we want to do: change the culture of SGA.  We want to do this in two ways:

1.  Let all the students know exactly what is going on

2.  Get student feedback, opinions, and ideas.

Now this seems pretty simple, but it doesn't appear to be happening right now.  We want to make sure you hear from us and from your senators all year long, instead of just during elections.  And, we want to set up things like newsletters, emails, surveys, and an all-inclusive website called students.udayton.edu, where you can go for all useful campus information.

We are the only candidates currently not a part of SGA.  And while the other tickets are stressing their SGA experience - we believe that our experience this year as regular students is what makes us the best choice for President and Vice President.  We can relate to almost all of you in that respect.

There are problems on-campus - things like Mom's Limo, Tangent computers, safety, tuition increases, and parking.  SGA should ideally be solving these problems - and if that isn't possible, at least giving us updates on why things are the way they are, and what is being done to change it.

If our voices had been heard before, then maybe we would know more about what was going on.   We promise to work hard all year long to make SGA work for you.  Vote Patrick O'Grady for President, and Brendan O'Grady for Vice President, and be heard!

SURVEY RESULTS:

We finished surveying freshmen and sophomores. We were trying to survey the entire campus, but the results from the juniors and seniors have not been compiled. Here is what we found: (keep in mind, there is no way to test the survey for validity, since this we don't have any others to compare it to). It was a blind survey, meaning we didn't have people wearing O'GRADY 2006 shirts hand it out to people. And nobody that we know took the survey. And we did it before the campaign began.

It definitely backs up what we've been saying, so if you don't support us, you probably think we rigged it. Email us and we'll let you see what we have.
