Jessica ParkerMy name is Jessica Parker and I am a graduate student at the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio, where I am working toward a master's degree in communication. I am interested in pursuing an editorial career in publishing, as I love reading, learning, and editing.

During this past school year, I was senior copy editor of the independent student newspaper at UD, Flyer News. Previously, I completed a 10-week internship with Wiley Publishing, Inc., learning the role of a copy editor on For Dummies books. Because I excelled at training so quickly, in the second week of my internship I began work editing Peachtree For Dummies, 3rd Edition; I was the first intern ever to be given such a responsibility.

I have also been selected as one of the Dow Jones Newspaper Fund's "Outstanding Editing Intern Prospects," and I received the UD communication department's Faculty Award for Academic Excellence for having the highest cumulative and major GPA among graduating seniors.

I invite you to explore my site and learn more about my life.
