Welcome to the Official Halo 3 @ UD website!

Hey guys!  This websites going to be where you can come to find some people to play Halo 3 and other LAN enabled games for the Xbox and Xbox 360.  We'll be co-ordinating tournaments through here and hopefully get a pretty good following.

Don't forget to join the "Halo 3 @ UD" Facebook group as well...help spread the word!

Games over UD's Network

So...after getting pretty pissed off about not being able to play system link games over UD's network, I decided to try and find a way to get past the restrictions (in a legal way) that UD has set on their network.  And guess what?  I found it!

Here's what you need to have:
  • Laptop
  • Xbox/Xbox 360
  • Ethernet Cable
  • Wireless Connection
  • Xlink Kai
Now...here's what you do:
  1. Download XLink Kai from HERE.
  2. Sign-up for an account HERE (It's FREE).
  3. Click the link that they sent you in the registration e-mail.
  4. Start XLink Kai.
  5. Sign in with your XTag and password.
  6. Add "InfiniZ" to your contacts and then e-mail me your XTag.

Now...here is the setup:

  1. Make sure your Xbox/Xbox 360 is off.
  2. Connect a CAT-5 (ethernet) cable from your Xbox/Xbox 360 to the ethernet port on your laptop.
  3. On your computer left-click "Start".
  4. Right-click "My Network Places", and left-click "Properties".
  5. Right-click on "Wireless Network Connection", and left-click "Properties".
  6. Go to the "Advanced" tab, and put a check in the first box, then click "Ok".
  7. Restart your computer for the changes to take effect, and now you can connect to other games through XLink or Xbox Live (if you have it).

This basically tricks the Xbox into thinking that UD's network is a giant LAN, thus allowing us to play system link games over the network.  You have to e-mail me your XTag because you won't see me on your friends list until we both add each other.
