Closed Loop Motor Model

 

·       Set up the model

·       Use “Math Operations” to get the summer and amplifier from the Simulink Library Browser.

·       Double Click on the sum block and make the signs read +- (from default ++).

·       Set the Pulse Generator for 10 Second period square wave

·       Go to “Simulation-> Simulation Parameters” and set the stop time to be 20 seconds and the relative Tolerance to be 1e-6.

·       Plot the output from command window using the plot command.

·       Try different values of the Gain and note what happens.  Try Gain =0.1, 0.5, 1, 2, 10, 20.

 

·       The New system including the motor and feedback path can be modeled as

where K is the gain.  Set up this system with the same input as the feedback model above and verify that you get the same output.
